This little Squishy Business began in 2020

The Mallow Makers was born during lockdown with a simple idea: create handmade marshmallows that felt a little more special than anything you could buy off the shelf. What started with Letterbox Mallows landing on doorsteps across Northern Ireland has grown into an award-winning artisan brand, with our handmade treats now stocked by wholesale customers across the UK and Ireland.

After more than 20 years working in branding and design, I wanted to create products that people would remember not just because they looked beautiful, but because they made them feel something. That's still at the heart of everything we make: treats that spark childhood nostalgia, bring people together over a cuppa, and turn everyday moments into something worth celebrating.

Inspired by favourites like Fifteens, Raspberry Ruffle, Mars and Teacakes, we give nostalgic flavours a luxurious twist, making every batch by hand in our 5-star County Down kitchen using locally sourced fresh egg whites, and carefully chosen ingredients.

Six years on, we're still proudly small - mixing, piping, hand-cutting and chocolate dipping every marshmallow ourselves. Alongside recognitions from Great Taste and Blas na hÉireann, you'll also find us at markets, weddings, corporate events and serving luxury hot chocolate and toasted s'mores from our beautifully restored horsebox.
